Our Mkwakwani Steppingstone Youth Programme - Bakari

This programme is for our over 18s and is a vital link to independence. When young adults leave home, they need access to independent living, to learn about self sufficiency, partake in further education and find sustainable work.

One of our many success stories is Bakari, who has been under the care of The Footprints Family since April 2010.

With your support and the care of Footprints, Bakari has completed his schooling, gained an electrician certification from the Polytechnic in Ukunda, and has now secured a work experience placement at Leisure Lodge Hotel in Diani.

As well as his academic achievements, Bakari has played for the Diani Pirates Rugby team. He is an outstanding role model for the younger children here at Footprints Family and we are very proud of him.
