Installation of an irrigation system on the shamba

Uncle Patrick and his team have been installing an irrigation system and water tower to enable them to water all of the produce in the shamba. With this new system it will be easier to make the shamba more productive. As you can see it was tremendously hard work in temperatures up to 40 degrees. All of this hard work will certainly be worth it.

In the past we have struggled to maintain a watering regime but now we will be able to grow more of the crops that we regularly use at Footprints, making our monthly food bills cheaper.

The children love to harvest the crops and there should be plenty to gather in the next few months.

Thank you for all donations that have enabled this project to be completed.

Well done, Uncle Partick and your team.
