The girls mother is suffering from mental illness and was attacked on two occasions resulting in both Rebecca & Levena. The mental illness meant the girls mother would disappear for weeks at a time leaving her daughters very vulnerable.

Levena had very little stimulation and encouragement up to the age of 4. She is now speaking English but has lots of catching up to do at school.
