Today we are so immensely proud
We have taken our first young adult, Raphael, to board a bus bound for Nairobi, the capital city here in Kenya, He is going to be starting 4 years studying at University, studying International Relations. He was extremely nervous as were we but seeing him leave is a huge milestone.
Raphael was left outside the Footprints gates in 2013 with his younger brother Joseph by the authorities as the children's home he and his brother were living in was closed.
We have seen him through primary school and although he missed some foundation years he succeeded to high school and has now received a place at university.
Its moments like this that keep us motivated, and we could not have achieved this without the help, love, and support from our Footprints Family. This is such a big moment and we are so proud, that we wanted to share this with all of you. This just goes to show the difference Footprints is making to these children's lives
A message from Raphael to Mama Kerry ….
"This far I have gone. No, I mean we have gone together in the journey of making a future. I would like to say a big thank you. Remember I love you so much and I will do my best to make you happy. I will miss you, in fact I am missing you already"
